Creeks and Bridges V.2

Creeks and Bridges V.2

Just a reminder that Sunday's 16+ mph ride (May 22) of Creeks and Bridges is my Version 2 of this ride; it will start at 7th District ES and not Maryland Line P&R. IMHO, the Maryland P&R is unacceptable as a ride start due to the extensive broken glass on the lot and the lack of toilet facilities. The re-routing adds ~2 miles to the beginning and end of the ride.
I plan to re-route any ride that I lead that starts from MLP to a 7th District (SEV) ride start.

Re: Creeks and Bridges V.2

Thanks to the 14 riders who came out for my ride today. I hope everyone enjoyed the route as much as I did. Frankly, I was surprised by the turnout. I expected most cyclists in this ride category to have done the Blue Ridge Summit yesterday and would be too wasted to do this ride. I did hear someone say it was too early for the Blue Ridge; anyway Gil Olvera is doing it again in June.
I found a few errors on the cue sheet and they (and original cue sheet) will be fixed.

Re: Creeks and Bridges V.2

We had 8 for the Blue Ridge Summit.  It may have been too early for some, but for those doing Mountains of Misery it was a good prep.  In fact, I'd say it was a week late for training purposes.  But I'll do my best there next week.

Re: Creeks and Bridges V.2

Hi Terry
No doubt about it; with all of the rain, everyone is pushing harder now to get in shape for the tours and rides later this year. For MoM I would think "Terminator" would be a good prep also.
