CWC Volunteers

CWC Volunteers

Everyone join me in thanking all who make CWC & other club rides possible. Thanks to those who didn't ride so others could. Ladies the sandwiches were world class as allways, fresh fruit excellent. Kudos

Re: CWC Volunteers

Dwayne, thanks for starting this thread. The CWC was amazing! At the final rest stop (Barlow), with only 14-18 miles left, here's what riders had to say. Over and over, they voiced their thanks for such a well run event: "the course markings were excellent"; "all we had to do was follow the orange bike symbol"; "outstanding organization by the planners"; "you just don't find an event of this type that is run so well"; "the food is super" (and this was only at the rest stops, with the best yet to come); "a really friendly group of cyclists -- and that is unusual"; "I can't believe how much fun everyone has made this"./ So, BBC members, good on ya. All your hard work was clearly valued and appreciated -- and how often do we ever hear that in our lives?

Re: CWC Volunteers

As one of the many volunteers yesterday at the CWC, I would like to ditto what Judy said in her post.  I rode the  metric after working registration yesterday and after I got back and donned my volunteer t-shirt and walked around, so many cyclists all had the same positive comments, and these comments were unsolicited.  Many as they rode by or walked by would comment on what a wonderful job the volunteers and bike club did with the CWC.  When asked if they would be back next year, they all answered absolutely!!

A huge thank you goes out to the organizers and my fellow volunteers, without whom as we all know, an event like this cannot happen!!  Everyone's hard work with this event is reflected in the wonderful feedback we have all heard from the participants.  It also helped that the weather ended up cooperating :-)

See everyone again next year!!

Re: CWC Volunteers

Again it appears the club pulled off a near perfect event in trying conditions leading up to the day.  Too many good things for me to say here.  On a personal note, I thought the clear plastic covers over the food was a nice touch.  I can't remember ever seeing that at other cycling events in the area by anyone else.  Yeah it's a small thing, but that's just the point.  Good job all.
