December Ramble this Sunday

December Ramble this Sunday

I just updated the cuesheets for Sunday's century ride. The link is below. Print your own or email me and I'll bring one for you.
The weather (dare I say it?), is supposed to be reasonable for the 4th. This route is a big loop between Baltimore and Washington that makes ample use of paved bike trails. The pace will be in the 13-15mph range, but I'll be pushing riders to make the breaks short so we don't get caught by darkness during the return.

Ride Date: Sunday, Dec. 4th
Start Location: Carroll Park, south corner at Washington and Monroe.
Start Time: 7:30AM firm  (meet up at 7:15)
Cue sheet: GoodCraic2011
Map and metrics: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/821840

Bob, as usual, the ride was great! We couldn't have had much better weather for this ride.

Thanks again.

Re: December Ramble this Sunday

Isaias and I were reminiscing about December Rambles in years past when it was just he and I there for the ride.

This past Sunday we had 12 eager riders ready for a jaunt to Irish pub, Fado, in Washington, DC. Great camaraderie, great weather and scenery... and of course, great beer. I'm loving the diversity of riders this series attracts now. Ages spanning from "not yet legal" to "old fart" , high-end ultra light frames as well as Nashbar cheapies, spandex and tweed,  quiet types and loud-mouths, first time century riders and seasoned 1200k brevet riders. Thanks all. Good ride.

January?

Hey, dude... watch it with the "old fart" comment. I think I had Tom by several months, so I was the oldest "fart" on the ride Sunday.

Re: December Ramble this Sunday

Bob:  12 riders for a century ride in December??  that is fantastic.  Thanks so much for leading these rides for the club!  I know I really enjoyed the century ride I did with you in July! :-)
