Saturday's Liberty to Emmitsburg ride

Saturday's Liberty to Emmitsburg ride

I'll have a 54 mile route also available at the ride start.  Given the forecast and the time of year, I'm not sure many are ready to do 80 miles.  So majority rules tomorrow morning as to whether we do the 79 or 54 mile route.

Re: Saturday's Liberty to Emmitsburg ride

Can you post the 54 mile cuesheet?  I was planning on showing up, and I would like to enter the route in my Garmin.  Just in case.

It's in the BBC library.

I should add that while the alternate 54 mile ride has a different start point (Londowntowne Shopping Center), we all will still meet at Liberty High School.  Londowntowne is about 1/2 mile from LHS.

It's on the cue sheet (link I posted in the previous message - 4000').  This shorter route is the ride I generally lead in the winter.  Various bail outs if someone wants to short it.  A bit hilly (Hooper, Gaither and Gillis Falls) the main players.

Ride is listed as an 18+.  When I lead a ride, I go the posted pace (not my normal, faster pace).  That means about 17.8 - 18.1 for this shorter route.  Only case I go faster than that is if everyone is in front of me.

So Phil!  That means if you come you won't be "chasing me over hill and dale"! ;-)
