The First Baltimore Bicycling Club

The First Baltimore Bicycling Club

Hi All
Looks like there was a BBC in the 1890's. See the email below. I referred Ryan to the LAB. If anyone knows anything about the Maryland Bicycle Club or the BBC from the 1890's, contact Ryan.

This is an enquiry e-mail via http://www.baltobikeclub.org/ from:

Good evening,

I am working on a research project for Baltimore Heritage focusing on Druid Hill Park's relationship to the city as a green space. When going through the Baltimore Sun Historical Archives I have stumbled upon the Maryland Bicycling Club that was headquartered at Reservoir St. and Mt. Royal Avenue. The Club was established in 1882. I am still in the middle of my research on this Club but I wanted to reach out and see if the Baltimore Bicycling Club had any information regarding their history and possible dissolution. There is mention of a Baltimore Bicycling Club that was situated in Eutaw Place. The article focus on races that take place at Park course during the 1890s.

Thanks for your time!
