Cautionary Note

Cautionary Note

As of this afternoon, 6/6/14, the Falls Road that runs between Corbett Rd. and Monkton Rd. in Baltimore County has been milled.  The milling has created many (more) random pot holes and broken surface.  There are holes on Corbett just as you are about to turn on to Falls.  The shadows make it difficult to pick a good line.  Be careful if you ride on Falls Road.

Re: Cautionary Note

Yet even milled, Falls cannot be any worse than it was!  Random potholes and broken surface has described this road for years.

Re: Cautionary Note

If you ride it in the current condition, you will realize that it CAN be worse than before.  Consider that the entire road has been milled and the surface has a diamond shaped groove pattern in addition to lots more loose pieces of asphalt

Re: Cautionary Note

Has the work on Falls Rd. In Monkton been finished, or is it still dangerous to ride?

Re: Cautionary Note

I rode Falls from Corbett to Monkton today (Sunday 6/15).  About 2/3rds has been paved with the northern 1/3 still milled.
Where paved, it is smooth as butter!

Re: Cautionary Note

Just road Falls rd this morning (Tuesday 6/17) and it is now smooth from Corbett to Monkton and it is smooth as butter. Now why didn't they just move on over to Shepperd while they were in the area?
