Non-trivial Road Milling On MD-26 (Liberty Rd)

Non-trivial Road Milling On MD-26 (Liberty Rd)

On today's ride:  Deep road milling on MD-26 today, eastbound between ~MD-97 and MD-32.  The shoulder has been milled the entire length (or beyond) and the through lane has been paved with asphalt just to the edge of where the right-hand lane line would be, resulting in a consistent ~2-in lip up to the asphalt.  This essentially requires a serious bunny-hop to get up there, parallel to the lip, at speed, and in traffic.

Fairly serious business.  I would stay they the heck out of there until it opens up...and even then, not best place to ride, IMO.

Re: Non-trivial Road Milling On MD-26 (Liberty Rd)

Tell me about it.  About the only way I can travel during the week unless I want to try to cross RT 97 at rush hour.  They've been "working" on it for nearly a month.  I've found the best way to deal with the milled surface is go as fast as I can.
