Yes! Our own Carol Bell is there. She has done PBP before, as well as Boston-Montreal-Boston. Carol rocks!

Re: Paris-Brest-Paris

If I am reading the results correctly, Carol Bell completed PBP in 83:23 this year!
Congratulations to her!

When Carol has a chance, I'm sure everyone would appreciate Carol writing a post or short article about how things went and all the eventful things that happened along the way -- good, bad, and unexpected.

Quite an accomplishment, Carol!
Congratulations!

Re: Paris-Brest-Paris

Robert,

You sound like a budding randonneur. ;-)

The best place to fawn over your favorite long distance heros is at DC Randonneurs www.dcrand.org
Their forum http://groups.google.com/group/dcrand?hl=en is a great source of information and encouragement.

Carol was the only BBC member in PBP this year, but she is not the club's only long distance rider. We've got Greg Conderacci who's completed many amazing feats of cycling over the years, including past PBP's.

Best.

Re: Paris-Brest-Paris

Thanks.
Guess I'm covered--
RUSA and DC Rando member.
Known and admired Greg C's accomplishments on and off the bike for over a decade.

I'll save the "hero" label for people on a train who run TOWARDS a guy with a gun and a lot of bullets.
Pushing pedals for fun or profit is great, but it doesn't rise to that level for me.
