Crofton to Galesville cue needed

Re: Crofton to Galesville cue needed

Nice thinking Ed. I like the idea of zips of a pdf and a gpx. If someone wants to just ride the ride, they print out a pdf. If they want to change it they can stick the gpx into bikely or mapmyride (both free)

Re: Crofton to Galesville cue needed

Hi All
Ed, I am glad you took the time to show that Joomla can handle multiple formats. In my own defense, I will say I hedged about Joomla's capacity to load multiple formats at once; I was not dogmatic. In any case, I also like the idea of a zip file containing the most popular formats of a cue sheet for a download. I am sure Will can handle it.
The real problem for me is not the technical one but the policy/manpower one.  You, better than anyone else, knows how much work it will take to convert the present library into multiple formats. We need a policy that everyone buys into that states all new cues are presented in multiple formats. Then, we need  that librarian  to manage the cue library.  Anybody want to volunteer for the job?

Will has already done it--or the cue library accepts zip files.  (I tested it.)

I have started a new topic on this.  Place any further thoughts on this subject under that topic.

Forget policies, forget manpower: let' those who want to bundle a couple of files together for a ride start doing it now.  (I see absolutely no need to have policies or to have everything done the same way. Let's continue the way we have.)
