Web site suggestions.

Web site suggestions.

I had posted where to forward but received no responses so...

1.  Should have a forum dedicated for selling your OWN stuff.
2.  Should have a forum for web site suggestions.  Could use as a resource as web updates are considered.
3.  Group rides section is not listing the HoCoCyclists.  Is listing the GlenelgGang.  Not sure if that was done on purpose or not.
4.  Not clear from the descriptions where General cycling topics go.  For instance, Ed just posted a new thread on electric bikes.  By the title of this forum "General Questions and Comments" I would think it would not be the best fit.  But clearly no other forum name at present comes close.
5.  Not crazy about the "bragging" comment on the ride experiences forum.  Personally I thing "Ride reports" would be sufficient.

Re: Web site suggestions.

Terry,

I added a couple of forums and reworded one.

Please email me the link info you want for HOCO.

Broken links should be fixed now.

Re: Web site suggestions.

Thanks Will.  I went to the old BBC Web site to steal the text but noted it's not there anymore (site is, text is not).  Given that, I posted a message to HoCoCyclists if they have any input on the issue and to get a hold of me or a BBC board member on the matter.  Since it may have been pulled off the old site for a reason, I'll hold off any recommendation until I hear from either.

BTW, getting a lot of messages that have "Subscription Subject" in the message subject and nothing in the body.  Expect some notification that someone replied to a message here.  Expect ya wanted something a bit more informative.

Thanks!

Re: Web site suggestions.

I've noticed that http://baltobikeclub.org/ is still showing the old bbc website. And now I gotta find a good profile picture...

Suggest moving comments to this thread to the new forum that Will just created for this type of discussion <g>.

Re: Web site suggestions.

Since the site is not letting me post new in the appropriate 'Website Suggestions' category -
there needs to be/should be a 'Mountain Bike' category under the 'Ride Categories' section of the website.

Re: Web site suggestions.

I just tried adding two rides, and everything seemed to work, but it does not display. Rides were for April 10 and March 13. Thoughts?

Re: Web site suggestions.

Joe is right.  Buttons do not show on the two new forums.
