Web site suggestions.

Re: Web site suggestions.

Another one.... While displaying forum, click "Search" then "Show latest posts".  Page dummies down to outline form that does not do much.  Believe other 2 options on drop down do likewise.

No big deal, just figured you'd want to know.  Shake down cruise in motion current/big_smile

Suggest moving comments to this thread to the new forum that Will just created for this type of discussion <g>.

The new topic button doesn't exist there for me so I guess I'll continue this thread with listing issues

- Seems the the web site is all bold untill you login (font-weight is set to 700)
- The new Ride Schedule link didnt work earlier for me at work in IE7 for XP but works fine now on IE8 in Win7.  (will retest tomarrow)

- The top right with "For Ride Cancellations or Changes See The Ride Changes Forum" has too narrow a line spacing (the bottom of the g goes into the top of the C)

Re: Web site suggestions.

To continue my message:
- The quote/edit textbox doesn't seem to work right in IE8 on Win7. When the text got to the bottom of the textbox the text sort of scrolled up so I couldn't see the last line I was typing in.  Also the carrot when at the begining of the line is in the border so its almost impossible to see.

- The reply button in the thread view doesn't line up right, the text on the left in bold vs the other buttons not being bold and the blue background is a bit higher then the blue graphic next to the text.

- no more link on the home page to the Facebook group.  We're at just over 500 people which is more then twice PPTC's facebook group even though their club is 3000 people

Re: Web site suggestions.

Reached the bottom of the textbox again:
- If you google the BBC:
http://www.google.com/search?q=baltimore+bike+club
The two URLs that come up don't work correctly:
baltobikeclub.org (ok, this maybe by design since its the old site)
www.baltimorebicyclingclub.org (hopefully not by design)

- I think there are more IE7 rendering problems since I can't seem to find the issues I saw earlier.

- no all pace short or 13-15 on the top of the calander where you can filter rides

- seems like the "NEW Ride Schedule" link issue is intermitent, happened to me on IE8 in Win7.

- Why is the "Print the Ride Sign Up Sheet" link info above the calander?  Would seem like that could be below so you wouldn't need to scroll down as much all the time to see the calander

- under "User Menu" / "Your Details" why is the only option under Front-end Language English/UK?  One I'm guessing this site will never be localized so the option is pointless and two I like en-us more then en-uk

- seems like there are two user profiles, one for the site and one for the forum.  Shouldn't the site one at least be able to link you to where you can edit your forum profile?

- under road problems maybe have a sticky post with links of where to report problems with the theory that is we report them we may get them to fix the road problems we face.  So one link should be to:
http://marylandsha.force.com/customerca … or_service
(that is for the state highway system but they may pass the info onto local governments too)

Me too picky in finding issues? current/wink

Categories only appear if a ride in that category has been entered.

Re: Web site suggestions.

* Email subscription messages from the Forum are delivered in HTML with only "Subscription Subject" displayed in plain text.  This is too mysterious for the average user.  Need to send summary of message in plain text as well as in HTML.

* There is a Forum synopsis on the main page of the site, but I think the current day's rides might be more important.  We need to have a section with the day's rides and a sticky on that page for the forum ride cancellation thread.
