And now it is time for the action!
I wrote to my county representatives and to the states attorney for balto city here:

There was no excuse for this tragedy. It could have been any of us!
Driver did not stop and left the scene for 20-45 min. I would like to know why she was not arrested or tested for drug/alcohol usage. Did not even call 911. No skid marks on roadway. Apparently only returned because someone on a bike went looking for the vehicle and found it.
We all need to be vocal about this issue and get involved in any way we can.
The laws must be inforced and justice served. Life is precious.
I don't think we need to question the cyclist's visibility.
Stopped for Pizza at Mignano Bros. w/ John and Marybeth then somehow lost them on the way back. Rode on my own through Prettyboy and saw a great Bald Eagle circling the water. I stopped and watched it put on quite a show to the dismay of a red-tailed hawk and a raven. Went back today for a recovery ride but no hawk. It was very quiet and I saw many other birds and blooming trees though.
I was on this ride so I knew where the chicken was. Wouldn't that be cheating? I knew where the other chicken was also.
Thanks to Steve for arranging the amusing ride today. We missed the group but didn't miss any turns. I recommend the key lime tart at Snickerdoodles.
Thanks for the ride Ed. Had post-ride Apple Strudel and Pumpkin Ice cream at Prigel Family Creamery!
Anyone have a tablet at the swap on Sunday that they would like to share/split??
Stuart,
I'm glad you put forth the effort to report this incident. If we all did this, maybe we could make a difference.

Would anyone be able to offer legal advice as to how I should proceed? A car pulled out from a side street on Bellona Ave. and hit me while I was riding down Bellona. The accident did occur in late May on a Saturday morning. At the time the driver was apologetic and offered to cover the expenses incurred to repair my bicycle. I just called him today and gave him the total. He immediately began to question me regarding where exactly I was riding when I "'hit him." He then stated that there was a reason that he did not receive a ticket. Finally, he noted that I could send him the receipts and that he would "think about" paying.
I know I waited some time to contact him but now it comes down to principal. I would be willing to pursue legal action if possible. Does anyone have legal advice for me or know a cycling lawyer?
Paul and I might come. See how we feel in am.
