As of 9:00 PM, the Tanneytown weather forecast calls for the rain to have moved out.  I'm planning for a 10:00 AM start, but I'm watching the weather.  Call Sat AM if you are in doubt, Rick 443-465-1388.

If there is a cancellation, I'll post it here and on the ride schedule.

The weather forecast looked awful for Sat the 9th.  And it looks great for Sat the 16th.  So, this months Taneytown to Littlestown is moved to the following week,

Sea Gull Century has been canceled for Saturday, October 3. We do not do this lightly. The safety of our 6,000 cyclists, some 200 volunteers, support staff, spectators and others is our top priority.

Cancelled due to temperatures.  Daytime high is supposed to be 33.

This ride at 62 miles will allow for 10 hours of direct riding for a 10 MPH rider.  With cold temperatures forecasted, this generally means a slightly more demanding ride then it would be in the summer months.  Allowing lunch and breaks along the way, I would not be comfortable in having a later start time at this time of year due to the earlier sunset.  I appreciate the offer of picking up the ride.

I'm watching the temperature, and if the start temperature is not 40 degrees, the ride will be cancelled.

there are no real changes to tomorrows Blackwater ride, but you may consider bring a camera.  The US FIsh and Wildlife folks counted a 154 Bald Eagles intheir annual report.  Along with 9000 or so Geese, Swans, Sitka Deer.  And then we can count the crab cakes at Old Saltys.  Bring a camera and binoculars.

The weather forecast is calling for gentle 9 MPH winds on Saturday. I'll post more info as I get it.
