This is a beautiful, hilly ride through the Prettyboy watershed that I led a few weekends ago. I'm bringing it back for two reasons. I wanted to do Greg Fromme's ride on Wednesday but it was cancelled due to rain. And it rained last week. So, 33 miles is a good distance for this slow poke. Also, I checked weather.com for Butler for Sunday. The temperature range is 34 to 47 and partly cloudy with a 10% chance of rain. Not horrible but wait for it: 19 mph winds!!! My hope is the trees and berms in and near the watershed will offer some protection. ???
This loop contains 5 good climbs and many smaller ones. The rest stop is the High's on Rayville Rd, formerly Wally's. The last time we were there, the parking lot porta potty was available but tres dirty. As I've been saying recently, regrouping is a function of who shows up and how kind they are. TBD! Once you make it to the rest stop, there's only 11 miles and one big climb left.
