This ride is very different from Sunday's Season Opener. The predicted weather is partly cloudy to cloudy, 76 degrees (wow) and winds only 5-10mph (BTW-Predicted rain Wednesday, Thursday and Friday-very windy Saturday).

This is a great ride created by Carol and Walt Russell which heads southwest from Taneytown and arrives in Emmitsburg at mile 22 for snack or lunch at a convenience store (nice large Rutters).

From Emmitsburg, the route continues in a clockwise loop north into PA and passes the glider field on Pecher (about mile 27).   We'll dip into MD and then return north again into PA before heading south east back to Taneytown.

Ride starts at the Taneytown Shopping Center - behind the Sheetz at the traffic circle. Near the Taneytown Tub.

I expect most riders will probably average 11-14mph.
