Join us on a flat ride through waterfront, farm, residential communities and wooded scenery on Kent Island. Snack and rest spot at Romacoke pier.  Directions - cross the Bay Bridge and take the first exit (Route 8 South). Turn right at the top of the exit ramp, heading south on Rt. 8.  Go 2.3 miles to Marine Academy Drive and turn right into Matapeake State Park. The parking is about 1/4 mile on the right. If you see fishing boats and the bay, turn around.  If you see a beach, turn around, you have gone too far (don't park with the boats or at the beach). During the summer months when the days are longer, we stop after the ride for some great seafood.  (It also made more sense to eat after riding because of the logistics.)   Now that we have shorter daylight hours, any of us who wish to have a meal together can convene in the parking lot after the ride.
