Begin and end an early spring Saturday near the waterfront in rural Galesville on the West River.  We will ride at a leisurely bicycle pace about 10-12 mph. The path is approximately 18 miles in length with a cutoff to go ~13 miles..  (Optional) Finish this relaxing social setting with fine food at Pirate’s Cove Restaurant.  If the weather is nice we may eat at their Oyster Bar Lounge outside of Pirates Cove.  A bicycle helmet is required as for all bike rides.   The ride start is at the Carie Weedon Science Center at 911 Galesville Rd, Galesville, MD.  If traveling south on Rt. 2, turn left on 255 Galesville – cross Muddy Creek Road and park at Carrie Weedon Science Center on right .05 mile.  .The parking lot entrance is past a park on the right and just past a Hardesty funeral home. There are port-a-potties near the parking lot yet no readily available rest stop;s along the route.
