Casual Riders are welcome to join this great ride, because this ride will feature a shorter course that will work for you. 

If the moon, winds and tide bless us, we will have a Blackwater Metric Century.    Blackwater National Wildlife refuge will be a rest stop for thousands of migratory birds, and is home to Bald Eagles, swans and other wildlife.  This is a flat ride around the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and including Hoopers Island.  It is expected to be 66 miles.  If the 66 mile route is under water, the Plan B ride is 46 miles.   Start time will be 9:30 AM.  Lunch will be at Hoopers Island General Store.

We will be starting at the NEW Visitor Center located 1 mile along Key Wallace Drive. We will NOT be entering the pay area along Wildlife Drive. There is a rest room at the NEW Visitors Center.  The New Visitors Center opens at 9:00, and is a very informative visitors center.  Take a trip up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

Directions from Cambridge are pretty easy.  Turn right onto MD-16 W/Church Creek Rd at the Wal Mart.  Go 7 miles and turn left on MD 335, Golden Hill Road.  Go 4 miles and turn Left onto Key Wallace Drive, and follow Key Wallace Drive about 1 miles to the NEW Visitors Center entrance on Right.
