This is a Bay to Bay, flat metric century that has two legs, like a chicken, and great BBQ Chicken.   This is an out and back ride, and Casual riders are WELCOME. The ride heads west, young man, to the Chesapeake Bay with a rest stop at mile 13, the Royal Farms in Cecilton.  Casual Riders can return for a 25 mile ride, or continue outbound. The Chesapeake Bay leg out and back gives us 41 miles,  bringing us to the lunch stop at the Townsend VFD where they have a great Chicken BBQ.  The ride continues east to the Delaware Bay and returns for another 25 miles.  Effectively, there are 3 rides of 25 miles, 41 miles, the combined 66 miles.  The Chicken Ride will be offered the last Saturday in every month.  Try to finish your leg by 1:00 PM, or they might run out of BBQ Chicken.

There are no rest rooms at the start location, but we can use the VFD  1/4 mile from the start.  We will pass a Royal Farms in Cecilton, MD,  about 12 miles on the Chesapeake Bay Leg.

Start location will be the Townsend Elementary School, 126 Main St, Townsend, DE.  It is about 1/4 west of the VFD.  Please park in the Elementary School parking lot, as we now have permission to park our cars in the parking lot.
