We are riding from the above address to the town of Point of Rocks, MD.   This ride is scheduled on a Sunday to minimize traffic and allow for free parking.   We have ridden this ride twice and it is a low-traffic route, mostly rolling (with some hills, 1400' elev.), with views of the Catoctin & Sugarloaf mountains.  Rest stop at Exxon mini-mart in Point of Rocks at mile 18.  Bathrooms near ride start (MARC station – 1 block away, or, the Frederick Visitors Center two blocks away). Ride will be swept.

From the Baltimore beltway; Take I-70W to Exit #54, Route 85/S. East St. (40 min), turn right to S. East Street and continue north toward the City of Frederick.  At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on S East Street.  Turn left onto East All Saints Street.  Park on street.  The ride start is 4 minutes from I70. 

The ride start is located a half block from the Carroll Creek Promenade which is a ¾-mile linear park extending through downtown Frederick, from BakerPark to the MARC station.  Both sides of the creek are paved to walk or bike.  It has outdoor cafes, benches, water features, ducks and fish, and plants to liven things up. There are architecturally interesting little bridges crossing the water at various points.  Join us for lunch after the ride at Beans & Bagels, 49 Patrick St. (sandwiches, etc.) near the canal.  Walk the canal after lunch
