This ride is a blast!  The route combines paved and unpaved roads as well as the NCR trail and will take you places never seen from your road bike.  You need a mountain bike or hybrid with wide tires for this ride.  We leave New Freedom and work our way east where we end up on unpaved roads that are essentially closed in Spring Valley Park.  Then we cross the divide between the east and south branches of Codorus Creek and get another thrilling stretch of unpaved action before returning via the York Heritage NCR trail.  Bring your bike and a spirit of adventure and enjoy something different!  Late lunch after the ride at the "7" Sports Bar.   Meet just north of the old train station - this is the station right by the bike trail that has a little restaurant in it.  A bar called The Hodle is right across the street.  Not the place with tourist train.  For those who navigate via GPS the address is:  117 N Front St, New Freedom, PA 17349  Rest room at start.
