April 18-20 – St. Michaels Weekend (St. Michaels, MD): Potomac Pedalers and WABITS host this event on the Eastern Shore which includes tandem rides on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  http://www.bikepptc.org/node/1198

April 19 -- The Great Causeway Challenge (Manahawkin, NJ): Events include Biathlon (30 Mile Bike & 10K Run), a 30 Mile Bike Race/Ride. Benefits Pediatric Services for Southern Ocean County Hospital. http://www.sochfoundation.org/events_causeway.php

April 20 --  Ride 4 Melanoma (Galesville, MD): Enjoy rides of 10, 20, and 50 miles through rolling horse and farm country with views of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding waterways. $35 registration fee is tax deductible. May 2008

May 3 -- Kinetic Sculpture Race (Baltimore, MD): hosted by the American Visionary Art Museum (on Key Highway). Totally human-powered works of art to travel the streets of Baltimore, then into the Harbor, then through a mud pit and a sand pit in Patterson Park and back to the Art Museum. May 3-4  -- 2008 Face of America Bike Ride (Gettysburg, PA to Washington, DC): Ride with servicemen and women who have been severely injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. http://www.worldteamsports.org/

May 4 -- Potomac Pedalers Free for All Membership Ride (Nokesville, VA): Rides from 10-51 miles, open to everyone; picnic afterwards. http://www.bikepptc.org/node/3884

May 10 -- SCU Quad County Metric (Green Lane, PA): 6 route choices: 21, 31, 45, 53, 68, 76; (also available a 10 mile unpaved Perkiomen trail. May 18 -- Bonkers Metric (Ridley Creek State Park, near Media, PA): 18, 35, 50, or 65 scenic miles on rolling terrain with some hills in Delaware County. Sponsored by Delaware Valley Bicycle Club. http://www. dvbc.org.

May 24 -- 10th Annual Bike Jam (Baltimore, MD): Road racing and more at Patterson Park, including the Kelly Cup Men's Pro Race, Bike Trials Stunt show, a recreational ride, cycling expo, and live music. http://www.bikejam.org/ .
