BBC Traditional Ride: Join the Accountants and Tax-payers for the Red Rum Ride. Tax Day is April 15th and we ride on April 16th in honor of Amendment XVI to the U.S. Constitution:
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
First 18 miles and last 15 is very gentle. The rest is tough for April 16th. Six mile climb over South Mountain at mile 18 (very hard-lots of 14% grades) and then a two mile climb back over another side of the mountain. The six mile climb was one of Mark Tabb's favorites and almost traffic free.
2019 Revision has break at mile 34.6 at Sheetz which tends to replace the stop at Rockys. Especially after the freezing rain experience in 2016(?). Reformatted cuesheet for 2019.
Note: At mile 39, across the street from Rocky's is a Cafe which the ride leaders may regroup for a coffee or snack. https://www.thegreenhousecafefortritchie.com/
