This ride is a 35.4 mile loop with about 1500 feet of climbing. The ride starts at Taneytown Memorial Park and passes through Littlestown, PA. The first mile is along the wide shoulder of Rt 140, but then the ride moves onto very nice, low-traffic, country roads. One mile of the route is on a flat, very smooth, hard-packed gravel road (Shoemaker Road), and should not be a problem for any type of bike. There is a rest stop at mile 23.3 in Littlestown at the Subway (or at Kennie’s Market, kenniesmarket.com, across the street from the Subway).
