We celebrate Summer's End and prepare for Autumn with a fun ride.
Roll SW on Marriottsville and Old Fred beyond Sykesville to Piney Run Reservoir. Return over Deer Park to Reistertown and the usual Padonia finale.
We pass, without stopping, the Nike MIM-14 Missile Site BA-79 at mile 14. The site features original missile bunkers, a Nike Ajax radar unit, an original Nike Hercules booster, and a highly detailed scale replica of the MIM-14 Nike Hercules missile.
