A Carol and Walt special. Ride is very different than last week's Taneytown ride.
Terrain is fairly easy (a 5-6 on the World Famous MT 1-10 scale) (10,000 ft for 100 miles is a 10). The ride is rolling with a bunch of gentle hills (not flat). I suspect most riders will average 11-14mph but all paces are welcome.
The temp should be in the low 60's, partly cloudy to cloudy and light winds (light winds are important for that area). I consider this a big plus for early March.
Lunch or snack in Emittsburg at mile 25 at a new large Rutters-lots of indoor seating and great food especially if one orders on their computer screen.
Please check this site if weather conditions change. I will post any possible cancellation by 8am.
I will bring lots of formatted cue sheets.TTaneytown Seven Steeples and Sixes Bridge (copy)aneytown Seven Steeples and Sixes Bridge (copy)
