Gorsuch Mill Road Meeting April 17, 2018

Baltimore County’s Department of Public Works will hold a meeting to discuss Gorsuch Mill Road Bridge (Bridge No. B-0071) over Black Rock Run which was taken down a year ago. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at the Hereford Library, 16940 York Road, 21111 (Room A).

Conducted as a work shop, the meeting will permit the community to discuss travel access and options to either rebuild the bridge or permanently close the road between Falls Road and Black Rock Run. For more information contact Kevin Sabolcik, P.E. Chief of Structures, Department of Public Works at ksabolcik@baltimorecountymd.gov.

Providence Rd and Loch Raven northbound to Dulaney Valley is open.  There has been some repaving of some bad sections but still a rough road.

Loch Raven eastbound from Providence Rd to Cromwell Bridge is closed.

The cobbled bridge over Prettyboy Dam is closed to through traffic.  I do not know if it is passable by bicycle or how long it will be closed.
The HILLY alternate is to take Armacost and Falls Rds (as if the descent and climb from the Dam is not a hill).

I am cancelling the "Leap Day" March 1st ride.  Rain is likely about half way through the ride and we had enough rainy rides in February.

Lets have a fun ride before a possibly rainy weekend!

A little bit of climbing, a couple of rollers, a lot of sugar/fat/..., and a fast return.

As BBC Librarian, I wonder if any members are familiar with any rides in the past which used a start at “DGM Dorsey Grove Middle School”.
It might be the Glenelg Country School on Folly Quarter Rd. I can find no current cuesheet which uses this start.

As BBC Librarian, I wonder if any members are familiar with any rides in the past which used a start at “OHP Old Hanover Park Pavilion”.
It might be the Lions Club Park at Old Hanover Rd in Union Mills.  Old Hanover Rd in Boring has no pavilions.  I can find no current cuesheet which uses this start.
