Looks like great riding weather for first Tuesday ride of Spring.

Loch Raven Loop. Break at Monkton Station. Come join the fun!

Bring snack for the break.

You could not delete the ride since it is a ride that Steve copied over from the Old Ride Schedule for you.  Thus I became the "owner" of the ride.  I am deleting the ride from the Ride Calendar.
The person who enters the ride controls edit/delete access to the ride, not the ride leader (future enhancement maybe).

Please enter your ride into the calendar.

I'm not happy with the Forum and don't wish to lose the old Yahoo list

Steve

Hey Tuesday Riders,
Weather seems likely to clear for a nice ride Tuesday.
9:30 am start (ouch, just after switch to DST so pay extra attention).
Fun break at Bagelmeister in Jacksonville.
Since I think Sparks Rd is still closed, we will add one mile for extra-extra credit.

ATTENTION: Ride Leaders

Steve has moved any rides which you posted in the OLD schedule / Cuesheetcentral (or were posted for you) over to the NEW calendar.
Because there is a chance of errors in this transfer, PLEASE check your rides.
You may not be able to edit the rides which Steve posted onto the NEW schedule.  So if there is a problem, post corrections as REPLIES to THIS THREAD.
If a Ride was NOT transferred at all, then you get to practice ride entry by putting it in yourself.

Steve had to make some decisions to fit the new format:
1. Ride Name - If Steve could have choosen a better name then REPLY to this thread;
2. Ride End Time likely shows 12am, ignore this or let Steve know via REPLY what it should be;
3. There may be some confusion when there are more than one leader.

Development Team for GC Problems

Garmin Connect, successor to MotionBased, is used by Edge, Forerunner, and other sport devices for upload of Garmin gps logged activities.
It looks like the Garmin Connect team may have just collapsed.  Garmin has shut the San Francisco office, and attempted to relocate the GC Team to Olathe, Kansas.  The Team answer appears to be "are you kidding?"

See the GC Team page at The GC Team We built Garmin Connect. We're for hire.

How do I get a signed decimal Long/Lat values?

One easy way is to use the Google Maps beta Long/Lat tooltip.  See below for how Oregon Ridge Looks when tooltip is enabled.

If you have Google Earth then the Long/Lat and Elevation under the cursor is reported.

For the boat launch area off of RT 286 (1198? Bethel Rd), Chesapeake City, MD 21915), I get coordinates (approximate):
39°31'33.5"N, 75°48'21.6"W
You can copy/paste those coordinates into Google Maps or  www.gmap-pedometer.com and it should show you the map point. At the least, the map should be centered on that coordinate when you zoom in.

I rechecked my GPS way point And I read
  N39deg 31min,30sec
  W075deg,48min 17 sec
   These should put you a the parking lot.

I suggest that postings to the Forum use the simplest format for longitude and latitude - signed decimal pairs to 4 places.
39.5259, -75.8060  for the above boat ramp
Entries of such pairs into Google and other online maps will give best results.
   ==>Ride Start for 39.5259, -75.8060
The use of degree, minute, second characters are difficult for most keyboards.
