SPRING FEVER                  

The Baltimore Bicycling Club 2023 SEASON OPENER was a tremendous success!

All the stars were aligned to make for a great day.  Cyclists had the choice of three scenic routes featuring lightly-traveled roads and rolling terrain.  The 47-mile route went south and west to the rest stop in Thurmont.  The 27 and 38-mile routes went north and east to Littlestown for a rest stop.

It was great to sees so many cyclists enjoying each other’s company before, during and after the rides on this beautiful spring day.  More than 100 cyclists signed in.  Over 75 of them stayed for the social and enjoyed a light meal of bagels and toppings, chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies. Yummy!

I could not have coordinated this event on my own.  I want to acknowledge and thank the volunteers behind the scenes who graciously gave of their time and energy to help make this event so outstanding:  Steve Zeldin, Jane & John Cole, Rich Burns, Evie & Mike Reinsel, Gary Brandon, and Mary Ryan.

I also want to recognize and thank our 4 very capable ride leaders - Adriana Pukalski, Nabil Ali, Gene Young, and Bob Rohlfing.

I am already looking forward to SEASON OPENER 2024.
