I've decided to mark the 10th anniversary of my x-country bike trip by riding to the now infamous Subway. On 4/21/2015 I departed San Diego airport & arrived @ this Subway on 5/25/ Memorial day. Needless to say, today's route is much shorter than the 2800 mile arduous adventure across Merica of a decade ago..... pics of the trip      https://www.flickr.com/photos/132083892@N04 

Since this is Memorial day weekend, it should be noted that the route passes through battlefields & Antietam National Cemetery

*Route crosses Rt 15 at grade.* This can be avoided & mileage can be reduced to 75 miles by starting (& ending) @ Thurmont Comminity Park. You would climb up 77, turn left onto Stottlemyer and meet up with me along there.

I usually take a break @ either the creamery or the monument. I usually eat lunch @ Subway in Boonesboro. There's also another opportunity for a break @ the store prior to descending down into Thurmont.
