This looks like a perfect weekend for a big ride! Let's ride one of the jewels of the National Park Service - Skyline Drive from Front Royal to Skyland. It's an easy route - ride to Skyland and turn around. The last 6 miles are all downhill, so you can *actually* think of this as a 79 mile ride :-) Given the terrain, I'll probably average between 14 and 15.
Rest stops at Elk Wallow (Mile 24 and 62) and a lunch stop at Skyland (Mile 42).
Park along the drive before the gatehouse. My pass can get three other riders in for free.
