Bob Carson, elder statesman of the Baltimore Bicycling Club (BBC), died on January 14, 2023, at the age of 88. Always vigorous, Bob was active in the BBC for 50 years. 2022 Civil War Century Success!
The weather was perfect for our signature event this year! Thanks so much to the volunteers who helped to make the 2022 Civil War Century a successful event. Just behind the reflections on the perfect weather, feedback among riders included praise for our volunteer staff.
Almost 1200 riders enjoyed the event. While the majority of the riders came from nearby Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and DC, participants traveled from over 30 states. The success of our event reflects well on the Baltimore Bicycling Club, projecting a positive nationwide image for our organization.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 9, 2023, for an encore performance next year!
